During the European Live Feed of their Nintendo 3DS Conference, they just announced that there will only be one single Friend Code for the 3DS systems. It's no longer software dependent. This is a big big improvement!

Very Happy Now

Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Well, that's good.

I was prepared to get the stolen panties that I'm currently holding in a twist over this issue, but that won't be necessary now.

I wrote the first paragraph! lol We had to merge Warerare. I was a moment after you.

And Hinph, Peach has the stolen panties remember?

Also, NOA just confirmed the friend code thing at the IGN live blog.

One Friend Code is a big improvement, but it's kinda weird Nintendo didn't just move on to something similar to a GamerTag or whatever.

Still, it's a step in the right direction!

Too many "jokes?" It starting to get creepy?

@Simbabbad

That makes sense. I hope we aren't limited to ten characters again though...on the Wii, that was annoying.

@Hinph

Never enough reasons to post a Creepy Mario pic.

Ok. One more, then... because I was particularly proud of this one.

I was with some friends drinking at a bar, pretending to be a creep about something or another, as I often do, when my female friend/ex-roommate decides to step in and say "Oh, I know you're not a creep, because I lived with you for over a year and not a single pair of my panties went missing."

So I says to her, I says: "I know, I'm a real gentleman, right?... I always put things back when I'm done using them."

Good news. Also, apparently you can easily bring up your friends list and check what they're playing, then link up with them.

No price yet is upsetting but at least we get it 2 days before NA

Fucking A!

So it really will have decent online functionality then, on par with at least PSN. That's cool. I honestly didn't know what to expect from Nintendo.

You can also skip the friend code process altogether locally, the system will ask if you want to be friends and trade for you. Awesome.

Feck yeah.

@Hinph
*rim shot*

I'll share a story. I lived in kind of a shitty area during college to get cheap rent and a luxurious amount of space, and I was walking back from an outdoor basketball court one day, dribbling the ball. This girl was walking in front of me and going the same direction for two or three blocks. Turns out that she actually lived in the same apartment complex. So as I was dribbling up the stairs behind her (difficult!), she turns around and goes, "You aren't, like, a rapist, are you?"

I replied, "I am, but you're not really my type."

Haha. Was the reaction nervous laughter?

Very good news indeed. I'm looking forward to a more robust and organized online system.
