Some Chinese production-line worker swiped a unit from the line... pics and video ensue. Looks pretty good! What do you all think? What do you think is going to happen to the poor bastard if he's discovered? Do you think this means they'll have an early March launch or not? FinkDaddy like...
I really like how they did the hinge on this thing. I know I'm an old DS Fat user and all but having the solid long hinge will prevent what happened to my current one where a small piece broke off. This is a sexy machine and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
NEW PICS!!! A dissection!
I intentionally made them 200px wide for design but click on them or visit the site to see bigger versions.
Is that a tiny battery? Seems like a small capacity...
Find more pics like these on some dude's facebook, found here.
I don't know how long this will last... I feel like Iwata is calling up Mark Zuckerberg this second with a bitch-fit...
I really like the look of it when it's open, but when it's closed it looks very strange. I'm not sure why they designed it so that the top lid is not flush with the bottom half.
@X-pert74 I think that D-Pad positioning will ensure that DS games are best played on a DS, just as the DS button layout made GBA games best on the GBA.
Cool video. It still makes me sad that the 3DS will probably never have 2D games as beautiful as the first PSP, due to the resolution, though. Damn you straight to hell, Nintendo.
With no OS on the thing, this seems very much not worth the job-loss risk.
I wonder if he could only swipe it before the OS step. It looks like it was before the bottom cover was put on too. Think he put it back into the line the next day? Can't imagine it being too useful the way it is.
That mirroring surface really looks bad. I hate it when display reflect the sun so you have to be careful where to play, because all you see is your face when you're outside-.-
And the position of the D-Pad pretty much renders it useless
