Well hey guys, what up? It's been a long and crazy year but mostly, for me, it's been a pretty rewarding year running the site. If you read the short history of Negative World you can see that I have been doing this for a very long time, but only since last November/December has the site really been picking up.

Anyway, you guys have been super generous with donations so now it is time to give back! I have designed a contest and the winner will get a free downloadable WiiWare/DSiWare game of his/her choice (up to $15 US value). We'll figure out the transmission details later.

And the contest is... hold your breath guys, this is going to be a good one...



MEGA MAN BOSS ROBOT HAIKU BATTLE!!!!!

Basically, everyone has to choose one of their favorite Mega Man boss robots from the classic Mega Man series (Mega Man 1-10) and write a haiku about it, and then post it in this thread. I (and maybe the other administrators) will vote on our favorite, choose a winner, and then a free downloadable game will go out.

More rules:

A. Only one submission per user. If you want to edit your submission, go for it, but no additional submissions.
B. State the Mega Man boss robot you have chosen below your haiku
C. IT MUST BE 5 / 7 / 5 SYLLABLES.
D. If everyone picks Metal Man, I'm going to get angry. There are other boss robots before Metal Man.
E. No copying anyone else's haiku. Be original damnit!
F. More rules will be inserted here if I think of any.

The competition will run until um... probably sometime around Christmas. I'll let you know in advance when the end is coming up.

In case you forget what a haiku is, it is a short verse that follows a pattern of 5 / 7 / 5 syllables. Example:

the rain falls slowly
soft on the surface as I
hop through life alone

Totally serious though, free game is at stake. You can make your haiku serious, or funny, or whatever... but there can only be one winner. Unless I'm nice and pick two winners.

I personally thought it was open to all characters listed (Dr. Light, Roll, etc.), so Dr. Wily would be in bounds.

If its purely Robot Masters though, you can all throw out your Yellow Devil entries.
