Hey all, it's that time of the year again! I need your help to put together our GOTY nominations! Here are some things to remember:

1. Even if someone else already nominated a game, nominate it again! It helps me put the final shortlists together to know what stuff is the most popular.
2. Nominate as many games as you want for a category! Just try to keep it stuff that you personally actually care about or really think deserves to make the list.
3. If you don't participate in the nominations, you don't get to complain about the final voting lists!

If you forget for all was released in 2022 check below, but my lists are not exhausive, so they are probably missing some key stuff, especially in the eShop categories. But remember, these are just my lists, even if you see a game in my list (or anyone else's), list it again in your nominations!

Well, I guess Sports Story should be moved to best eShop game instead of most wanted, it's out now! But it hit so late. Is anyone even going to play it in *time to vote for it?!

*I probably won't end up doing much with GOTY until the middle of January or later anyway.

It's weird, but I would say 2022 ended up being slightly disappointing overall, simply because of the huge promise it showed going into it. There was still a lot of good stuff released this year, however.

I never thought I'd be considering a Pokémon title for game of the year, let alone two of them, yet here we are...!

Hm, should we add a new category of Best DLC? That's where stuff like the Mario Kart 8 tracks, Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, Cuphead The Delicious Last Course, etc. can go.

@Zero Yeah, the categories can get confusing sometimes, but I see no reason why Fall Guys wouldn't be in the eShop category.

I think they're fair game, but it is another area that's tough to know where to draw the line. I didn't play Outer Wilds on Switch, but it's a great game that deserves more recognition so I'm voting for it anyway.

@Secret_Tunnel I wanna vote for Ocarina of Time too! But it released on Switch last year, so I don't think it's eligible...

This idea has come up in the past but it's like... not even clear to me what all DLC is out there, and since it's DLC it'll be a limited amount of people who played it. Which I guess is already an issue with all of our other awards but DLC even moreso would probably just come down to a handful of people who actually played certain DLC just voting for what they played.
