Despite a lot of great 1st party and indie games, it still feels like the Switch isn't getting a whole lot of new 3rd party stuff. But here is a new game! If you don't know who Nippon Ichi is they are probably best known for their tactical RPGs like the Disgaea games, Phantom Brave, etc.

Info:
- directed by Yoshihiko Toda
- features a scenario written by Syupro-DX’s Jun Yokotaa
- a disaster has occurred in the warm and nostalgic town of “Clocknee”
- in order to resolve this incident, an adventure that revolves around time will unfold
- characters include a girl named Sherry, a boy named Pegreo, and a robot named Isaac

The art gives me N64/Dreamcast era vibes. Which is nostalgic and nice, in a way, even though I may not think it looks all that good in of itself. Gonna keep an eye on this and see how things turn out.

Doesn't quite look as pretty as the other games I know them for (and their pretty games are a staple of what I consider when I hear their name!) but I'm all for new stuff on Switch! :)

Hopefully this turns out great. I love the name "Clocknee" if nothing else.

NIS is all-in on Switch. They're such a strange company. Almost too quirky! A lot of their non-Strategy games seem neat, but I cant decide whether or not I'll actually enjoy them. Like Penny Punching Princess. Another recent trailer really intrigued me:

What a cool premise.

The Switch port of Disgaea 5 is also really good.

Liar Princess and the Blind Prince is a day one buy for me. I know next to nothing beyond the premise and a short snippet of footage, but this is the type of game I want to see more of. The kind that we got to see a fair amount of on the Wii, I feel. Quirky low-to-mid budget games with a smaller audience but a lot of heart.

Kind of Pandora's Tower-ish?

Yeah, I miss those games, too. That's NIS's's's wheelhouse! Indies kind of sate that hunger, too.

@Anand
Yeah, sort of like Pandora's Tower. And Muramasa: The Demon Blade, and the A Boy and His Blob remake, and MadWorld and DeBlob and Little King's Story and Elebits and Another Code R and you get the point. True about the indies, but they only get me so far...er, so far.

When I saw the headline, I thought this was a mobile version of the PS4 game Destiny that was coming to Switch.
