@Zero Wow I didn't even see Volgarr buried down there. And I seem to remember Tiny Barbarian getting a little buzz years ago. Oh, and Oxenfree I think, too.
Yeah this week is packed with indies. None of them are *new* (and some are quite old) but the volume is definitely impressive.
I can't keep up with all of this. And next week we're getting The Flame in the Flood, and Super Mario Odyssey is just around the corner. I need to quit my job.
@carlosrox A job is essentially the concept of you providing a company with your services in exchange for currency which you can then in turn exchange for goods and services from other companies.
*ba-dum-tsssss*
Sorry.
It's a rogue-ish survival adventure where you and your dog travel along a river and explore various islands and locations in a post-apocalyptic american south. Seems like a good one, I think.
This Layton game is a port of the mobile one, right?
From what I understand, it's the same game. But with all the content included right off the bat, instead of having to buy it piecemeal like the phone version.
Also, that's a great trailer to that game. Man, there's too much to play on the switch. I usually hop on the shop every few weeks and marvel at the games that have been added, several of which I've never heard of. Good on you, Nintendo! What an awesome problem to have.
Wait, when did Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime release? It's not on the list but I read somewhere that it released the 3rd? Since when do games release on a Tuesday?
It's a fun / unique local co-op game where you're all controlling the same big spaceship with multiple stations everyone can run around to to move, shoot, etc. Requires some real coordination. It was pretty well reviewed too and it's worth checking out.
@carlosrox Volgarr is BRUTAL at first. Even when you learn what you need to do, you'll still fail at it a bunch, even the parts you're well familiar with. But at some point it just clicks, and suddenly everything is completely reflexive. After a few hours I was cruising through the early levels, and even the later ones that were completely new to me benefit tremendously from the muscle memory the early game beats into you.
