Has anyone played Jungle Beat using the nunchuck and Wiimote? How does it respond? Or should I just stick with my GCN copy and bongos?

DK Jungle Beat is one of those games I've tried to get into a couple times but couldn't, but want to try again in the future because it's so unique and beloved. But I'd want to stick to the original GCN bongos edition, and that comes with the hassle of having to hook up my Wii and stuff...someday though.

Hyrule Warriors still looks kind of dull to me as an action game, but playable Ravio is one of many small reasons I'd still consider picking it up. Cool that they keep making DLC for this game two years out, too.

Hyrule Warriors Legends came out THIS year, though.

@GameDadGrant Is the DLC not coming out for the Wii U version? I thought DLC between the two was like the same.

It's sadly not. But I will check the Wii U eShop to see if this DLC is available, because the game is fun. I'm just bitter the Wii U got shortchanged on all the stuff the 3DS version got.

@GameDadGrant I haven't played it yet, but it was my impression that the Wii version uses button controls, not motion control, making the game more of a regular platformer. I believe that some of the levels were also redesigned to compensate for this.

Yeah, F that game. Lemme know though, Lou..I'm interested...

The Wii U version of Hyrule Warriors has the playable characters as DLC, but not the maps. Makes it a bit overpriced, IMO but any price for Marin is worth it.

@Mop it up

Interesting! Thanks for the info. The GCN version is legit awesome and a blast to play. I wonder how well it could work without those bongos, though. Especially the boss battles against the other gorillas. I'm tellin' ya, pounding on those bongos really made it feel like I was beating the snot out of those apes!

@GameDadGrant After looking it up, I was half-right. The Wii version of Jungle Beat uses a combo of buttons (stick moves DK) and motion (shake Wiimote to "clap").

I should probably play these games at some point so I could speak more on how they work and the differences...
