Minecraft: Wii U Edition – Super Mario Mash-Up Pack – Nintendo is partnering with Mojang and Microsoft to bring the imaginative worlds of the Super Mario series and Minecraft together as a free update for those who own the Minecraft: Wii U Edition game. For the first time ever, players will be able to fend off blocky Hammer Bros. and Dry Bones the same way they do Creepers and Zombies.

PixelJunk Monsters – The classic tower defense game comes to the Wii U system! Play as Tikiman and protect your offspring from hordes of monsters sweeping through your realm.

PokéPark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure
– Play as Pikachu as you run, jump and smash your way through an action-packed adventure. You’ll travel across land, sea and sky to show off your speed and skill. Travel to all corners of the PokéPark to experience a variety of Zones and Attractions, as well as meet and befriend many Pokémon.

Virtual Console on Nintendo 3DS

Contra III: The Alien Wars
– In the year 2636, the alien war continues, and it’s up to two soldiers, Bill and Lance, to put a stop to the alien invasion. In this Super NES action classic, battle through six stages of nonstop run-and-gun action while collecting power-ups to take out the aliens.

New DLC:

Hyrule Warriors Legends Master Wind Waker Pack
– Download this new DLC in the Hyrule Warriors Legends game for only 99 cents to receive 16 new Fairy Costume pieces, the “Master” Wind Waker map for Adventure Mode and one new adventure battle scenario. You can also purchase the Hyrule Warriors Legends Season Pass for $14.99 to receive all DLC packs as they become available.

In this six-map series, units leveled up in the main game cannot lend support. Devise a strategy using a fresh team and reap the rewards, but only if all of your units survive. Why not sign up for a (free) account?

I didn't know PixelJunk Monsters was coming to Wii U but it's pretty awesome! Sure it is another tower defense game but it is one of the best I have played. It's from Q-Games aka Dylan Cuthbert's studio aka the guy who helped program the original Star Fox.

I've actually been curious about PokéPark, though I dunno if it's enough to download it. I wonder if this will affect prices for the old disc...

Does that Hyrule Warriors Legends pack impact the Wii U title at all?

Man, is ANYBODY going to buy Pixeljunk on Wii U? It's so old, and it's been discounted so many times, on so many platforms...

Seems like it would've been smarter to publish a retail Pixeljunk collection.

@Mr_Mustache
The answer to this and all future such questions: Nope!

@Mop it up
Pokepark is a decent kids adventure game.

Digger Dan DX looks kinda neat, and I have some eShop credit....

EDIT: Digger Dan kinda sucks, I gave up after like the 10th level. For some reason your character can defy gravity but other things in the world react to gravity, it's very confusing, seems sort of half baked. Also there is a very short time limit on each level and I'm always against time limits in games, and especially in this game it seems like a bad idea because the best part of each level is finding these really cool looking secret rainbow diamonds but there is no time to look for them. Hidden secrets + time limit = fail IMHO.

Oh my gosh! Contra III on 3DS! I still have my Super NES copy, but it's nice to see nonetheless. I may actually pick it up, just so I am able to play it on the go whenever I feel like it
