Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Hmm, I didn't know Shantae: Risky’s Revenge was getting a Wii U port. Anyone who hasn't played it yet, it's a great game!

Anyone know if the Hyrule Warriors season pass stuff is also for the Wii U version? I want all that cool stuff that the 3DS version is getting, but I don't want to start the game from scratch and buy it again.

@TheOldManFromZelda

From my understanding, you can buy the 3DS-exclusive characters (Tetra, Toon Link, King Hyrule, Skull Kid, Linkle) as a set for the Wii U version for $13 later this year. People that buy the 3DS version get a code in their game packaging that lets them get these characters for free in the Wii U version.

In addition, you can also get the DLC...but only the characters and not the maps. I think it's $10 for the DLC characters (1 from Link's Awakening, 1 from Phantom Hourglass, 2 from A Link Between Worlds). And Medli is free either way. I think there're 29 characters total right now. More detail from official site

@TriforceBun

That's bullshit. I want the maps.

@TheOldManFromZelda

Yeah same here. I love the game a bunch and would buy it again if there was a way to transfer content over but the way it is now, it just frustrates me. Maybe when it drops in price I'll cave in...

@Zero
I've always been interested in these games but have yet to try a single one. I think I have 2 eshop cards I haven't used yet.

This could be it.

Stealth Inc. 2 is on sale for $6 through the end of March. If you haven't picked it up already, I highly recommend it to fans of puzzle platformers and, to a lesser extent, Metroidvanias.

Resident Evil Mercenaries and Revelations are $5 apiece on the eShop. Is this worth it?

@nate38 Yeah but... the game killing glitch. I'd recommend playing it on Steam like I'm doing right now and I actually got past the glitch part.

@TriforceBun I don't know about Mercenaries since that seemed like a kind of thrown together launch game based on pieces of the other games, but Revelations is pretty awesome, well worth $5. Closest thing to Resident Evil 4 we have gotten since, though a few odd design choices hamper it a bit.

@TriforceBun
Absolutely. Revelations is the definitely the better game, if you can only get one.

@TriforceBun

So, what happens if you have the 3DS game? You still don't get maps on the Wii U..or you do?? I'm still confused, even after the "official site."

@Mr_Mustache
You get characters only, I think?

The game mechanics in Legends are a bit different, I think. So they probably couldn't just copy and paste the maps. Maybe?

Yeah, this is true. No new maps/scenarios--sorry, Stache! That said, there's soooo much content already in HW Wii U that I dunno if I'd ever actually finish the initial set of DLC.

@TriforceBun
You might not finish them, but Robbo probably will (if he hasn't already). He games while he sleeps.

Oh whoops, I meant is Mercenaries worth it. I have Revelations--good game. I enjoyed RE4's Merc mode too, so I was wondering if this was similar.

@TriforceBun
I believe it's the exact same thing with more depth and such. Totally forgot this game existed. I'd be into a PC or wii U version.

Did my brother lie to me? He said that Castlevaniaesque game Slain! was coming out today. That game looks pretty awesome but I'm not a fan of the in your face thrash death whatever metal.

@Zero
Have you heard much of Revelations 2? THAT is seriously RE4.5. It's fucking awesome. It's like a blend of every RE game. My one complaint is some of the enemies are way too generic.

@carlosrox I'll probably check it out eventually but the episodic thing kept me away from it. I'm sure you can just buy the whole thing in one package now?

But wait, did it come to the "last gen" platforms? I see it listed on PS3 on Gamerankings but there are no reviews for it.

@Zero
Yup. The whole package seems to run for $25ish. I was also turned off and expected nothing from this game based on the first trailer and footage O saw of it. I was dead wrong.

Um I have no idea if it was last gen as well actually.

Well the episodes are also surprisingly long. The first chapter alone is worth many hours of play. I'm not sure if it applies to anywhere else but Steam has Chapter 1 for a fucking DOLLAR. My bro has the PS4 version I was playing but I had yet to get the PC version til last night when I saw this deal. My other brother got it as well with me, and I gifted it to a friend to empty the 2 bucks I had in my Steam wallet.

Looking forward to some PC coop play with my bro and friend! It's kinda silly though because only 1 character can use guns :/ The other gets throwable items and melee....

Doubt my laptop could run this game though.
