After looking back, I bet Nintendo is holding back Zelda U footage for the game awards thing (like they did last year).

And as far as NX launch titles, remember that Retro has been silent for a LONG time now.

Yeah, but let's be honest, Retro spends way more time silent than noisy, ha ha. I swear I've never seen a developer keep more on the down-low and take as long between projects. So that would be GREAT if it was an NX launch title, but I would never, ever hold my breath on a Retro game announcement. Even if the day before Retro was like "Tomorrow we will definitely announce something."

Retro teased something before E3 and nothing ever came of that. Isn't that like the second time their game was meant to be shown but didn't because Nintendo didn't feel it was ready? I'm not sure if this was even the same game on both occasions but it's odd. I'd really like to see an original IP from them one of these days.

How is Cloud even in Smash if he hasn't been in a Nintendo game?
Yet. He could be in the future.

Finally caught the direct yesterday and have belatedly jumped into the thread.

Not a huge amount of 'new' news, just a bit more info on stuff we already knew about I guess.

I do have one question though: Where the hell is Paper Luigi? I mean seriously. Paper Bowser. Paper Peach. In-game you have Mario, Luigi, and Paper Mario....but no Paper Luigi?

What a goddamn travesty.

I can't believe they're waiting until December 31st to announce the new mainline Metroid.

Hahaha. Can't believe DH didn't catch this. Poor Jargon

@WrathOfSamus777 Well, he definitely will be in the future. Smash Bros.

Technically he's in Theatrhythm and Theatrhythm Curtain Call, as well as a tiny cameo in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for GBA.
