FoMT is really fun. I'd recommend it, especially if you enjoy the classic HM titles like HM64.

I thought Gunstar Heroes (when it dropped on the Wii VC) was HIGHLY overrated. Buyer beware!
I'll check out some videos.

@WrathOfSamus777
I enjoyed it as someone who first played it on the Wii VC. I didn't think it was great (didn't quite feel as smooth as Contra) but it has that enjoyably ambitious approach that Treasure's known for. Checking out some vids to see if you may like it is a good idea.

I think Gunstar Heroes is friggin' great! I'll be getting the 3D version as soon as I know I can afford it with good conscience. It's a bit different from Contra, and may not be quite as smooth, as @TriforceBun says, but I think it's got a whole lot of other stuff going for it. The weapon combinations you can experiment with are tons of fun, and the stage designs are totally awesome.

Ok I just watched the 3DS trailer for Gunstar Heroes 3D and I thought it looked fantastic. It looks like Contra 3 but with a Treasure vibe. And since I know Contra 3 won't be coming to 3DS........

@r_hjort @WrathOfSamus777 I can't really put a finger on it but that game didn't click with me as much as I expected it to being a huge Treasure fan. I mean, original Gunstar Heroes, not the 3D one.

Yeah, Gunstar and Guardian Heroes never quite won me over, but I'm willing to give Gunstar another chance. In 3D!

(Astro Boy: Omega Force was awesome, though.)

The Genesis Gunstar Heroes is a pretty fun game. It maybe didn't age all that well, but it's still worth checking out for action fans, IMO.

Of course, it doesn't come close to being as awesome as Gunstar Super Heroes, which came out on GBA several years back. Too bad we're not getting that on VC anytime soon. That's the Gunstar game everyone needs to play.
