I still have my disc...is it bad that I'm considering buying the digital copy too?

I wonder if Nintendo is trying to make money back on the initial costs for these games and this digital service is the testing ground for it. Or I just really want to know what the process is for picking what games go digital.

@ludist210 Send me the disc and I'll buy you the digital copy! @missypissy Yeah, really peculiar that we only have five Wii games in NA, and number five is an obscure game like this. I mean, I'm hopeful that this means we'll see more cult classic games for download and not just the major classics, but there's probably not a ton of people who feel that way.

@nate38That's actually a pretty tempting offer...

@ludist210 Let me know if you wanna. As long as the disc/case is in good condition, I'd rather go physical than digital, and I can't find it for under $25 or so online.

I hope these semi-obscure titles do well enough for Nintendo to consider releasing brilliant JP/EU only games like Project Zero 2: Wii Edition and Another Code R: Journey Into Lost Memories on the NA eShop as well. I'm not sure how much localization work was done between releasing, say, Pandora's Tower in Europe and in North America, but I think fans of these series would be alright with getting the exact same ones as we got.

@nate38I'll do it. The game is either brand new or "like-new" (meaning I opened the shrink wrap but never played the game itself) so everything is included (case, manual, disc, etc). A dog in the house but not a smoker. PM me your address and I'll put it in the mail tomorrow.

I wonder if they've fixed that really bad glitch that plagues Pandora's Tower.

@Mop it upThat was only a thing in the NA version that XSEED handled, right? From what I understand, they've got nothing to do with this release, so it might not be there.

@r_hjort Yeah, it's a freeze glitch that happens in the later tower(s) of the NA version. I believe it's caused by the NTSC optimisation, so I'm not sure what a workaround would be, and I don't think they could release the PAL version because of the different standards for SD content.

@Mop it upIf it's an NTSC problem I think Nintendo themselves should be more than capable of sorting the matter out though, especially since the original JP version is NTSC as well. I mean, if XSEED did their work based purely on the PAL version (which they did, if I'm not completely mistaken) they must have missed out on some essential code that could have helped them avoid the issue. I guess this is just a wait-and-see type situation unless Nintendo gives us an official word on the matter.

Whoa, Pandora's Tower on Wii U. Crazy. But I've still got the disc, so...meh! I'll definitely be getting me a Shiny Rayquaza, though!

Wow, continually putting off that Pandora's Tower purchase has paid off! Although I'd rather have the physical version for that price... I wonder when they'll throw Xenoblade up there. Actually, I don't. It'll precede Xenoblade Chronicles X.

@AnandI kind of doubt that since they'll still be trying to sell copies of the New 3DS version. I want to know when The Last Story is going up. That's the one Wii game I really feel like I missed.

@JargonThinking logically, I would agree. But Nintendo has already done something similar several times in the past. The only example that immediately springs to mind is Kirby Super Star, but I'm pretty sure that I've seen them do this a few times.
