ROUND ONE: Negative World March Madness: Third Party Edition (Liberty City)

We're kicking off the Negative World March Madness: Third Party Edition, where our favorite non-Nintendo games go head to head and only one may prevail. The matchups are as follows:

(1) Grand Theft Auto IV vs. (16) Ninja Gaiden Black
(8) Grand Theft Auto III vs. (9) Portal 2
(4) Tekken 3 vs. (13) Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
(5) Mass Effect 2 vs. (12) Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty

(2) Grand Theft Auto V vs. (15) Gran Turismo
(7) Half-Life 2 vs. (10) The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
(3) Uncharted 2: Among Thieves vs. (14) Bioshock
(6) Halo: Combat Evolved vs. (11) The Last of Us

Vote for the game that you think should win the matchup. Please vote on every matchup or your votes will not be counted. Not having played a game does not disqualify you from voting. If a game has appeared on multiple platforms, use your discretion in choosing which version to consider. Please cast your votes in the following format, bolding the game that you choose to advance:

Woohoo, I only played three here. But I'm voting anyway and you can't stop me!

1. (1) Grand Theft Auto IV vs. (16) Ninja Gaiden Black

1. Not interested in either one, chose the supposed underdog.
2. Two of the three I have played are in the same matchup. Not a fan of either but Portal 2 is a bit more original at least.
3. Underdog again.
4. Not really interested but Mass Effect 2 seems a bit more unique. Maybe.

5. I think I played a Gran Turismo game, but maybe not this one. Straight-up racers are kind of boring though so I'd rather just mess around in a GTA game if I had to choose one.
6. These two look okay, chose the one that seemed to have less issues.
7. Might be interesting.
8. I'm no Halo fan but I actually did play it, so it gets my vote.

I've played half the games, although Mass Effect 2 and Half Life 2 I didn't play much before I determined that I wasn't interested. (I should give Half Life 2 another shot, but up until where I got it just seemed like more boring Half Life style checkpoint to checkpoint stuff. I should have at least played until the gravity gun showed up.)

The ones I've really sunk a lot of time into are Portal 2, Tekken 3, Gran Turismo, Skyrim, Bioshock and Halo.

A. No opinion on either, but I feel like Ninja Gaiden is more of an underdog.
B. I love Portal 2
C. Underdog
D. MGS2 is my favorite game in the tournament. As Brick is probably well aware of by now.

A. Haven't played either.
B. Haven't touched Half Life 2 in years, but whenever I play Skyrim if feel bored
C. I don't like Bioshock's gameplay couldn't and bring myself to play it long enough to see if the story makes it worthwhile
D. I'm 12 years old

I ain't voting on half of these as most of them are games I will never touch. However the good ones are damn good. Never mind. Voted, even though I have absolutely zero interest in GTA, they seem better than the other options.
Portal 2 and Bioshock are some of the best games of all time.
Skyrim is super fun and kept me amused for hundreds of hours.
And Halo is where I have many fond memories.

I would have loved to vote for Half-Life 2, but it doesn't beat Skyrim.

Ok - I voted based on the vibe I get from each of these games. Like; gun-in-mouth, have to choose.
Also, sorry H_o_H, the Metal Gear franchise feels like the melodramatic work of a self-indulgiant auteur. Maybe I'm a mile off, but how would I know? I wouldn't because I don't. Lol. This poll is mad/interesting. Minteresting?

That's the point. At the start of the tournament, I encouraged people not interested in voting on games not found on Nintendo systems to ignore this region. You're free to vote if you want, but no negativity about the format please (that can go in the Selection Sunday thread).
