Trying out the Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric demo right now, and I don't think I've ever felt like a running stage has been less interactive than this one. How did they even manage to pull this off?
At first I tried the exploration level and thought, hey, maybe this isn't
that bad, 'cause it was kind of fun strolling about as Amy, whacking enemies over the head with her giant mallet, but then the level just seemed to go on forever, and it had these running-towards-the-camera sequences crammed in there just to get the tempo up. Poor Sonic.
EDIT: I hope a lot of you will give Etrian Odyssey IV a shot now that it's on sale! That game will eat all your spare time. And your soul. In a good way. I guess.
