    I'm getting Tengami right this minute. If nothing else it will be worth it for David Wise's soundtrack alone.

    Whoa, another Picross e? I've been passing on these since I've had Mario's Picross to keep me occupied in the past, but I could go for another Picross game if it's a great one. What are people saying about e5 (and are any of the other e's worth getting)?

    Anybody who doesn't already have Runner 2 needs to jump on that $4.99 price. Well worth it.

    @chrisguy

    $5 for an endless runner? Not sure if want.

    It's not an endless runner...

    @GameDadGrant I hope you're joking MAN. Runner 2 is not endless, it's packed with a ton of unique stages. If anything it has too many stages...

    On the other hand, "I've got to Run!" is also 5 dollars and is endless and sounds horrendous. It makes me think hey, if I do end up putting my (not endless) runner on the Wii U at least it won't be the worst runner on it!

    The game play is more varied than you might think. The graphics are gorgeous and the soundtrack is awesome. It's worth $5.

    Ooh, I missed that. I just might have to get Pokemon TCG...I never played the GB game, but I have good memories of the cards themselves.

    Is bit trip 1 on the Wii U?

    Pokémon TCG! I only rented this as a kid, but I remember enjoying it a lot.

    Anyone who HASN'T bought Bit Trip Runner 2, this sale is the perfect excuse to pick it up. Still one of the, if not THE best Wii U eShop game.

    No, it's on WiiWare and 3DS eShop (Bit Trip Saga). Also retail (probably scarce).

    This is gonna sound strange coming from me (who's working on a music auto-runner myself), but I didn't love Runner 2. The gameplay tied into the music nicely, but the music itself was pretty generic and forgettable, IMO. Just a whole lot of unmemorable techno to me. I also thought the game could've benefited from more elegant simplicity--there didn't seem to be a reason to have both a block and a kick button when they both serve the same function against slightly different obstacles. It over-complicated things. And finally, while I loved how the game handled checkpoints with regards to your score, I thought it was a big misstep that a big chunk of points came from this end-of-level minigame that had zero to do with the rest of the game's gameplay.

    Except it's not an endless runner?

    I think calling it unmemorable techno is a bit unfair with songs like this on the soundtrack (which I wouldn't even describe as techno), but taste in music is subjective and all that.

    I think Runner 2 is well worth five bucks, and is a lot of fun. Wouldn't say it's one of the very best games on the eShop, but as far as runners go it's pretty awesome.

    Two hours later and I've beaten Tengami. Ridiculously short game. Barely even a game. Still, it's pretty, very atmospheric, has a few fun puzzles and a holy-crap-you-won't-believe-how-good-this-is-why-won't-you-believe-how-good-this-is-when-I'm-telling-you-how-good-this-is soundtrack.

    Well, Pokemon TCG is pretty awesome. As someone who once collected the cards, it's a wonderful way to get the whole card "experience" without the cost or need to find buddies to play with. I also like how it has Base, Jungle, and Fossil, the expansions that were around when I was into it. Good times...

    @r_hjort

    That one's pretty good, but I guess I'm not as into the sort of trance genre that transcends what I've played of Runner 2. Maybe the music stylings change as you get further in the game, but it wasn't quite my tastes.

    I liked the Pokemon TCG quite a lot as a kid, and I really liked the idea of paying $30 for a Game Boy game with all (most?) of the cards from the first couple of expansions in it, instead of paying $30 for a single rare card. I once bought a Dark Blastoise for $25...and then immediately got another one in a booster pack. Come to think of it, I probably spent hundreds of dollars on rare Pokemon TCG / Star Wars CCG cards as a kid...

    But even back then, I found the Game Boy game pretty basic and a bit of a grind. Might be fun for $6 if you'd like to reminisce about the card game's origins and don't mind the lo-fi Game Boy style, though you'd probably be better served looking into the iPad app or whatever if you actually want to play the card game in a more authentic way (I assume).

    Good week.

    I'm looking forward to LEGO Batman 3. Hopefully I'll get that for Xmas. I'll have to get Picross e5. I've purchased all these Picross e games and they seem to have more content in each game. Lastly I'm curious about Pokemon TCG. It has a story mode right? I played those Yu-Gi-Oh! games but they were just card battles.
