    Here in PAL land we're getting Art of Balance for Wii U today. I'm installing it right now!

    We also get a bunch of other stuff, like Nobunaga's Ambition for the SNES. Seems like a really cool strategy game, but looks quite complicated. Anyone ever try it or know anything about it?

    I will be picking up Mario Golf.

    Anyone played Armillo? I heard it had some framerate issues, have they been patched out?

    @anon_mastermind

    Supposedly the patch took care of that.

    @r_hjort

    I've never played it myself, but I've heard good things. It came out over here a few weeks ago.

    Does anyone have what is on sale this week with the Smash sale? Can't find the games listed anywhere online.

    @missypissy

    Not for another ten minutes, no. Nintendo pushes the update to the site (as well as to the eShop) at noon eastern.

    The new Smashing Sale prices still aren't up...someone is asleep at the switch over at Nintendo...

    EDIT: Finally they are up! Hang on, brb. Gonna go buy Tropical Freeze now.

    EDIT: Weird. My screenshot stopped showing up in Miiverse everywhere.

    So, after having played through the first couple of worlds of Art of Balance I can tell you guys that

    - The game is friggin' gorgeous because Shin'en
    - The soundtrack is the same as it's always been (which I'm kind of happy about actually)
    - There seems to be a slightly increased friction and sense of weight to the pieces
    - The 200 levels seem to be identical to those in the 3DS game
    - There aren't any people playing online yet

    Overall I'm happy about my purchase so far, and especially so since I got a discount for owning the 3DS outing, but I'm disappointed in the recycled levels. It's more out of principle than anything else, 'cause it's not like I remember ever single strategy to every puzzle or even recognize them without looking at my 3DS, but nevertheless.

    EDIT:
    @ludist210
    Looked into it a little bit and it seems pretty neat so I might consider it sometime down the line.

    Tropical Freeze for $30...that's pretty damn tempting even for a penny-pinching physical media caveman like me.

    Tropical Freeze is my favorite Wii U game, and was a steal when it launched at 50 bucks. If you're a platformer fan at all, do not miss this outstanding game for 30 dollars!

    Also, Pikmin 3 for 40 is a good deal too, if you still don't have it after the MK8 thing.

    Omg you're in for a treat. The soundtrack is divine.

    @r_hjort
    Wait, how do you have this?

    Thanks for the impressions, sounds great. I bought the 3DS version but didn't really get into it.
    All over this one. Loved the Wii version.

    Also all over both Castlevanias.

    It was released here in Europe a few hours ago. If you haven't played the 3DS version much you're gonna love this. Well, you probably would anyway, but you won't mind the recycled levels.

    Nothing on the Super Smashing Sale interests me this week, but Armillo for $4.99! That's a done deal.

    Guess Star Fox is getting a digital upgrade for me this week. Now all I've got left are the "stupid" physical only games (Tales, MGS3)

    @missypissy

    It's your money, but $30 for that game is still ridiculous to me.

    This week looks pretty good for the Smash sale, most of the retail titles on offer actually rival some physical sales for those games.

    I will be replacing Pikmin 3 finally! You can't even buy it on Amazon without paying full price PLUS shipping, so this is great.

    Star Fox 64 3D is on "sale" for $30...ugggh....This game should be $15 at this point.
