Treehouse Live on September 12: Lots of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS.

Nintendo has announced they will be streaming the new Super Smash Bros. for 3DS for eight hours on Twitch this Friday, September 12 starting at 1:00 p.m. eastern/10:00 a.m. pacific. Bookmark their Twitch page ASAP because that's where they're streaming it (I'm unsure if it's going to be on their YouTube channel as well). More details as they become available...

HEADS-UP: To those avoiding Smash Bros. leak spoilers, don't look at the comments section of Nintendo's twitch tv vids. Many people are discussing the final SSB roster.

Also worth noting: Mega Man 7 (SNES) is live on the Wii U eShop. $7.99.

Guys who got an email--what letter does your email address start with? I'm wondering if they decide it alphabetically or not. Mine begins with "Matthew..." so I'm hoping I'll see it soon!

Bayonetta 2 stream looks pretty cool. The Samus/Fox outfits are weird as hell, but what can you do besides not use them if you don't like them.

My email starts with "sean" and I haven't received anything yet. So hopefully...

Twitch chats are usually terrible, but there's something really annoying about all the SMASH DEMO, GIVE ME CODE, OMG WE WANT SMASH talk.

Got my code! Didn't check out the live stream at all, so this was a nice surprise. Too bad my 3ds is at home :( 6:00 can't come soon enough.

If you reached Platinum status last year, you "should" get it. If you opted in to receive emails, which seems to be the main hang up for some people (likely myself). Everyone else just has to wait a few days.

Yeah, shortly after posting that Nintendo sent me my code. I'm glad I buy a lot of Nintendo and actually like their e-mails. Almost any other service I've asked to opt out.
