Amiibo figures can now be preordered for $12.99 apiece. The first dozen are Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Kirby, Pikachu, Fox, Yoshi, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Peach, and Marth.

In addition to being featured in Smash Bros Wii U + 3DS, these guys will also be used in Mario Kart 8, Captain Toad, Mario Party 10, and Yoshi's Wooly World.

Will you be picking any of them up? Which ones?

We're getting closer to me wanting to get one of these hunks of junk. Shulk and Mega Man are both tempting, but they're not Ness.

Where's my Falco?

Mega Man avoided the whole stand problem by having a wide stance. Good job, Mega Man!

I'm interested in Pit (thankfully, his stand looks decent too), Mega Man, and Ness. Those three will be cool to have, but I'll probably pass on the rest.

Hope Ness's tiny feet don't necessitate some weird stand of his own.

Xenoblade Chronicles exclusive to Gamestop as well

It's looking like two per series for me so far...just really want Rosalina and Mega Man from the third series.

Good point.

I would like some Ike related merchandise since he's one of my favorite Fire Emblem characters, but I'm not a very big fan of his Radiant Dawn design. Sheik and Mega Man turned out very nicely, though.

God, I hope this doesn't point to Xenoblade Chronicles X being Gamestop exclusive too.

Me too, especially since I plan to get it digitally. I doubt that would happen, but you never know...

I hope Gamestop doesn't take brand new copies of Xenoblade Chronicles X, markup the price an extra $10 above the MSRP and sell them as "used" games. Within days of Xenoblade Chronicles coming out they had used copies selling for 60 bucks. It was ridiculous.

Yea, and I just want the game to succeed on a bigger scale than Xenoblade did and tying it to a single (shitty) retailer would hurt that.

@Jargon Unfortunately I think being on the Wii U sort of guarantees that it won't succeed at a bigger scale, right? Like... what besides Mario and a few launch titles has seen serious numbers?

That Ike figure looks pretty cool. Too bad I'll never get a Nephenee figure.

Shulk and GameStop need a divorce ASAP.

I'm not a HUGE fan of what Nintendo is doing with these things but I would actually love one as a stocking stuffer or something. They look cool and unlock some fun little things in my games.

Son of a B. I REALLY didn't want to be collecting a million of these. Most certainly CANNOT pass on Ike and Mega Man, and I'll probably get Shulk, too. Gosh darn it...

Yeah I think Amanxa and I might treat each other to one and that's if. It'd be too ridiculous to get all of them. Hopefully Nintendo keeps the bonuses light and trivial.

I like that Nintendo wasn't afraid to have extreme poses for some of the characters. Better to have those clear supports than everyone just be standing around. Makes for a more interesting collection.

(Shullk will be mine.)

Captain Falcon's support is...unfortunate. Think about what he's going through right now.

Hm, I would agree if the clear supports from E3 are what stayed, but some of these colorful ones just don't do it for me.

Pit looks good though, mainly because they had the wisdom to make his stand a "platform" of sorts, rather than a proboscis stretching from his thigh or something:

Eh, I don't like them. Their colors take away from the statues in some cases...clear and thin(ner) should have been the way to go. I do appreciate that they are more animated than Skylanders and Infinity figures though.
