  • Allow me to join the whining about Murasame not coming to the Wii U VC. Like, is there an actual REASON? I'm torn about picking it up for 3DS or waiting for a Wii U version. Did it hit the Wii U in any region?

    Regardless, good week. I'll upgrade some VC games, I guess. Was Cybernator on the Wii VC? Is it worth picking up?

    Questions!

    Ooh, Cybernator. That's been on the edge of my radar for quite some time. Now that it's on Wii U, I'm a bit more likely to bite. Still hoping for Mysterious Murasame Castle to hit the console as well.

    Plus Mega Man 5 and Super Mario Kart, not a bad week for the VC at all. If only this was the standard.

    Yeah, that's a bummer. I'm psyched about playing a "new" NES Nintendo-published game, but I wanna play it on my TV!

    Oh well, still picking it up today on the 3DS.

    I rented Cybernator back in the day. Don't remember much about it other than your mech being really slow. It was fun, though.

    If I recall correctly, it's short, but the last level is impossible, so technically the game could last forever!

    Like every NES game!

    When I was a kid, I was actually kind of happy that I could never finish my games...

    @Anand

    The Mysterious Murasame Castle just released in Japan on the Wii U VC last week (July 30th), so hopefully it comes over here soon. I'll probably pick it up on 3DS though.

    @Anand, @TriforceBun

    You guys would just end up playing it off-TV anyway.

    Was about to jump on The Mysterious Murasame Castle until I realized that I still don't have a working 3DS.

    @carlosrox Oh man, used to love that game so much, played it with my cousins. Even though I don't think we ever got past the 6th? stage.

    I bought Double Dragon II years ago on the Wii VC. Great game, I'll definitely pay the $1 upgrade fee.

    I like Double Dragon II but I can't get past this ridiculously annoying and out-of-place stage midway through. It's this weird castle with insta-kill spikes, and I can get there by only losing a couple lives the rest of the game. I like the fight mechanics but whose dumb idea was it to put that super-hard platforming in there??

    @TriforceBun
    You just gotta learn it. I can do a perfect run in that stage. You referring to that Temple stage with the disappearing platforms? Haha I used to hate that as a kid before I learned it.

    Only super hard part in the whole game is the last boss. Not to say I don't get game overs here and there, but once you learn the game everything gets much easier, obviously.

    Hmm, interesting that Mysterious Murasame Castle is finally getting an overseas release. I wonder how it is?

    It is great if you ask me. So let's pretend that you did.
