@GameDadGrant 12 is one dozen. I don't see how that's more random than 8. I mean, what's 8? Why not an even 10? Having more racers equals more zaniness, but I can see why people wouldn't like that.

I don't think adding wheels and gliders counts as them being different vehicles. The wheels are a pretty small part of the vehicle, it doesn't change much about it. There are more vehicles in MKVI than vehicle bodies in MKVII. I do like how they got rid of weight classes though and allowed every character to use every vehicle.

StreetPass is mostly pointless. I don't want ghosts of random people, I want ghosts from people like you guys. I could get them in MKVI, but not VII.

I don't like coins either, it made things more imbalanced. Getting hit makes you lose coins which means you're now slower. Lame. I'm disappointed that they're back again in MKVIII.

The underwater propeller didn't change much, it was mostly cosmetic. The glider was fun though. I liked the Thunder Cloud, it was like a game of hot potato, it was fun. I like Coconut Mall also. I don't really care about battle mode either, though MKVI's worked well online. It just needed more options for local. I never dabbled in communities so I don't know how those worked. The Mario Kart Channel was accessible within the game, it didn't need to be installed as a separate app.

It's all personal preference of course, just explaining why I (and others it seems) didn't like the game as much as MKVI. Different strokes for different folks and all that, nothing wrong with that. :) I just like my sequels to add stuff instead of replace stuff though, which is why I'm disappointed in MKVII and looking that way for MKVIII as well.

@GameDadGrant the baby characters at least require more then 5 minutes with color splash on iOS for character design,

@Mop it up

You and I have very different opinions on this matter.

@pokepal148

Yeah, but they're still annoying.

@GameDadGrant But that's okay, right?

...Right?

...Are you going to sharpen a DS and stab me with it?

@Mop it up

Totally fine!

And yeesh, a DS shiv? That's kinda dark.

@GameDadGrant

For real. A GBA Micro would make a much better shiv.

@TriforceBun

If there is any piece of Nintendo hardware that is "begging" to be made into a shiv, it's not one of their handhelds. It's the Wiimote.

Sometimes my Wiimote begs me to be made into a shiv at night. It typically happens when I marathon 12 hours of gaming fueled by nothing but a few six-packs of Yoo-Hoo.

EDIT: Wait, what was this topic about again? Oh yeah, Mario Kart 7.

@TriforceBun@GameDadGrant It's too bad I have zero drawing talent, or else I'd turn this into a comic strip (and many other things that happen here).
