Smash Bros. 3DS coming out in Summer 2014. Hell yes.
Smash Bros. Wii U coming out in Winter 2014. (I'm okay with this as I expected it and it'll give me time to get the 3DS out of my system before a new Smash).
Lots of stages it looks like and two songs a stage is nice. Hopefully that's a minimum. I love that stages have a Final Destination-mode. (most of them anyway) Should give those "Fox. No Items. Final Destination" people a bit more variety.
I like that they are catering more to people who like to play like that as well as people who don't. I suspect the online mode will be very good in terms of matchmaking and having players find satisfying matches. Linking to the Nintendo Network ID is perfect and I totally expect great use of Miiverse, at least for bragging.
I'm fully expecting to like these more than their predecessors.
I'm excited about Zero-Suit Samus returning and as a separate character. Nice character model too. Sheik returning separate is also appreciated. New moves should make both of them a bit more unique. I love Zelda's new down B move, which no-longer brings Sheik in but instead utilizes a phantom iron knuckle or whatever it's called. Rosalina looks to be fun to use too with that gravitational move and the like.
The info we received on known returning characters was all around great news. New moves. New subtleties. It seems each character will play different from each other more than ever before. Yoshi's return is an epic one because he looks so good. I like his new character model.
CUSTOM MOVE SETS! I'm excited but I know many others who will be WAY more excited than me. And they alluded to different outfits for characters (like the male Wii Fit Trainer and Little Mac's old-school mode). I wonder if Custom Taunts will exist too.
Smash Run seems like a lot of fun. Hey
GameDadGrant this is one fighting game I can't wait to play online with you!
Charizard as a separate pokemon fighter is good news IMO. Since the Sheik and Zero-Suit Samus rule, I wonder if we can later expect Squirtle and Ivysaur.. but I doubt it for some reason. I definitely think Greninja is a spicy move and I'm all for it. They totally trolled us about Mewtwo though. So with Pikachu, Greninja, Charizard, and Lucario, that's four Pokemon fighters. Jigglypuff may return too which might make five. I wonder if this is a good thing in terms of roster. I would hope they would keep it some what proportional so the series didn't feel like it had too much Pokemon.
I fully expect to lose my mind in the best way when these two games return. I am totally getting both.
