Yeah, I kinda feel the two Galaxys play like two parts of the same game. The first one was the big stunner, though, so I'll always rate it higher in my personal favorites list.

I do think there's an interesting question to be raised about how essential Yoshi is to Mario games, though. Does his presence in SMG2 improve the formula or basically make no difference?

I say no difference, personally. But I've heard people argue the other way.

@Jargon

I loved TWW's soundtrack, story, visuals, and focus on exploration. ST (what I played of it, at least) still felt too familiar to PH, my least-favorite Zelda. But I do plan on finishing it someday, so my opinion of it can improve. However…

@anon_mastermind

…I've always loved this song, one of the best in the series. It's outstanding!

@TriforceBun

TWW's soundtrack and visuals are indeed great, but those are more superficial things to me. They give me fonder memories of the game than it really deserves, as I realize whenever I actually play it. Not really into the story myself, I like my Zelda stories simple.

None of this is to say I don't like it, I just like Spirit Tracks more.

The Wind Waker is great because of tooling around in the boat looking for treasure/shooting things/driving a boat is fun.

Voting Nintendo Land just to be different. We all know Super Metroid will dominate.

An hour left to vote and there's two ties! Someone break them or I'll have to go with the lame site score tiebreaker.

What are the ties? And could someone change their vote in order to break it, or does someone new need to vote?

EDIT: Oops, it's already over!!

(3) Mega Man 2 (NES) vs. (6) Mario Kart DS (DS)

(2) Super Smash Bros. Melee (GCN) vs. (7) Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES)

A1: What a weird matchup!
A2: I'd take fucking King of Swing over Wind Waker. Actually, where IS King of Swing? Shenanigans!
A3: I am bias.
A4: Obvious.

B1: Brawl, I guess?
B2: Bias again.
B3: Hmm, I'd say Mario > Zelda in general. Although 3D World was thousands of times better.
B4: I'm not one of those Doki Doki Panic weirdos. I mean, it was alright...

Where Anand tried to sell me on the water combat (prior to release) with "it's awesome! You can dodge in 360 degrees!!," its one of my least favorite things to do, and Lou abhors it.
Y'know, if I had my druthers, I'd still be on land. The aquatic monsters are actually only in the Nintendo versions of Monster Hunter. I'm not sure about MH4, though. God(s), it's taking SO LONG.

@Anand

YOU let Monster Hunter die after Mop turned her back on it. Terrible.

So, Castlevania advanced to the next round to get SLAUGHTERED by Mega Man 2. What could've been..

...is Monster Hunter 3 getting slaughtered by Mega Man 2? I don't think many 3rd party games stand a chance against Mega Man 2, it will have to be brought down by a Nintendo game.

@Zero

Castlevania is getting relatively crushed.

Monster Hunter 3 got dumped in the 1st Round on a tiebreaker. Anand has been asleep all month, so he didn't vote, and Mop it up (though she enjoys the series) dinged it because it is no longer online (..just like every single other game on here that isn't 3DS or Wii U). BUT, we're allowed to vote how we want and do whatever. Just a bummer. One of my very few horses in this race.
