Was Renegade good? My childhood memories say that it was good. But I can't trust those memories, because GameKidGrant was kinda dumb about games. He'd play anything.
@ludist210 I think Renegade was what Technos made before Double Dragon and Street Gangs/River City Ransom, so it would make sense for it to not have the same depth or polish.
That being said, maybe it's fun enough to keep one occupied until River City Ransom comes out. Renegade on the NES doesn't have 2-player though, does it? Did the arcade version?
@GameDadGrant Oh, I didn't know that! Not sure why I assumed it wasn't out. Maybe it's out in EU too, 'cause to be honest I haven't checked out the NES games on the Wii U VC at all, and I've already got River City Ransom on my Wii.
Upon watching a playthrough of Renegade on YouTube, I've decided against downloading. Apparently you can spam this running-punch attack and basically insta-win nearly every fight. The whole game took the player less than ten minutes, and the ending was total garbage.
Avoid Renegade, download Double Dragon or River City Ransom instead.
