Recently announced on Joystiq Monster Hunter producer Ryozo Tsujimoto has stated that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will be getting a Western release in 2015. Unlike Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate which saw a release on both 3DS and Wii U, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will see a 3DS release only. The title will support both local and online play.

The game will be known as Monster Hunter 4 G in Japan.

Why not sign up for a (free) account?

Do you mean Soul Sacrifice? (I wish that was a Monster Hunter clone, cos I got it free on plus, it's more like... DMC with lots of magic, it seems)

Yeah, Soul Sacrifice is one of them. Also Toukiden and Freedom Wars...stuff like that. Trying to catch that same fire that Capcom had, I think.

What is that bug thing!? If there was a weapon class with integrated bug-friend functionality (or IBFF) I would totally use that weapon! I think the weapon used by the dude in the trailer is just the new bo/staff though. So I'm still curious about this prominently featured bug! I could look it up, sure, but I want to minimize spoilers.

Hard to say if I would really need this on Wii U over 3DS. hmmm, right now I'm 100% going to get this on 3DS. But, I guess I'll have to think about whether or not I would want to hold out for a Wii U version that may never come. Plus, there are certainly advantages to having a game like MH on the go!

I don't care where this game appears. I'll buy it no matter what.

The Wii U version reportedly sold better in the USA so I still hold out a slim hope for a port. It would certainly help sales of the console.

I plan to get this early on. I would love to get a special Monster Hunter 3DSXL + CPP bundle. I love that system design above.

Very excited for this game.

Maybe Nintendo will launch the 3DSiSP+++ along side this, you know the one with two circle pads!

dat trailer... why is 2015 so far away.

On the 3DS v. Wii U thing: it'd be awesome if it gets announced for Wii U, but i'm not counting on it. I'd def. double-dip again if it happens. I'm hype for more Monster Hunter, regardless

Also, i'll probably be investing in a CPP this time around. Got by alright in MH3U on 3DS, but for this one, it looks like a 'frankenstick' might be necessary...
