I assume that means talk smack via Miiverse and not voice chat. I'll be downloading it over the weekend so my 24 free hours aren't used while I'm at work.

So do we get a month free of the Sports stuff or whatever? I vaguely recall hearing something like that.

Although I get that it is a more popular sport, it feels odd to me that they are going with Tennis when Resort's Table Tennis was such a huge step up. But I guess Nintendo is going to go with the older stuff so as to not leave out people who don't have MotionPlus, among other reasons.

You're thinking about the Wii Fit U one month trial. Wii Sports Club has a free 24 hour pass whenever a new sport is released.

Also, all of the games in Wii Sports Club will require Wii Motion Plus, just like in Wii Sports Resort.

With Motion Plus, this tennis might be a huge step from the original. And it's four player, which is important.

Oh these are all Motion Plus games?! That's actually a bit odd, considering that Nintendo seems to want to make this game as accessible as possible.

I'm actually a bit confused about this game still. Like, when they get to Golf, will it just be the original courses, or all of the new ones too? It'd be a shame to just be the original ones only.

@Zero Judging by the screenshots and videos that were in the Iwata Asks for Wii Sports Club Tennis, it seems like they're adding new bells and whistles to all the games. Wouldn't be surprised to see the original and Resort courses both, and maybe some new ones.

Let me know if someone gets a chance to download and play Wii Sports Club. I'm stuck at work and really want to know how they've enhanced.

Doesn't the Wii Sports Club hub automatically download if SpotPass is activated?

Also...what's the price on Kid Icarus: Uprising? I've wanted it for a while.

Uprising is $34.99 on the eShop.

Ick, a little much for me right now, but I'll add it to my wish list. Thanks for checking, Grant!

No. If you have downloaded the hub, then the games are automatically downloaded as they become available.

    @Guillaume

But Iwata also said that if you have SpotPass downloads enabled, the game will automatically be downloaded and installed. I turned this feature off so I have no idea when this will happen.

Hah, I thought Kid Icarus would never make it to eShop due to the stand "requirement". Good of Nintendo to realize most of us can play it just fine without it (though, I like having the stand, it's useful for playing touch-screen heavy games at a table). This give me hope for Wii Party U on eShop, somehow.

Ha! I totally forgot about that stand that it came with, until you just mentioned it!

Bowling has 100 pin Bowling which was a Resort only feature so I'm optimistic. Maybe it's taking longer to release because they're making new courses?

And only Wiimote Pluses have been available for years now, I think it's safe to require them at this point, especially since you only need one for some of the games and only need one for online in all of them.

Golf is gonna have the gamepad-on-floor mechanic, which probably needs a lot of testing to make it work well.
