All 6 of the original NES Mega Man titles are already available for download from the 3DS eShop, yet strangely, only one of the Gameboy games from that series is available on the system. Well, not for much longer! Capcom is bringing the remaining 4 Mega Man titles to the eShop soon, not the least of which is the amazing and wholly original Mega Man V.


In addition to that, the Gameboy Color spin-off series, Mega Man Xtreme, will also be making its way to the eShop! So while Capcom is apparently not making any NEW Mega Man games (at least not in the immediate future), fans will at least be able to bask in the old-school greatness of this legendary franchise.

I'm excited. I've never played any of the GB games aside from I (which I only played on the 3DS). I'm especially intrigued by V.

I might be tempted to download III, IV, and V since those cartridges are kind of expensive.

I'm still sad that they never released Mega Man Mania though, it would be nice to play these games in colour...

I never played the original Mega Man games on the Game Boy, but Xtreme and Xtreme 2 would be nice to see rereleased. Xtreme 2 in particular is a very good game.

I'm curious to check out MM5. I played the CRAP out of Mega Man 1 on the Game Boy. It was my first exposure to Classic Mega Man.
