Goddamn, the credits sequence really is great!

I've been taking my time, trying to find special zombies in old levels whenever I could, but with 10 streetpasses today, the moment seemed ripe.

Wait... is Battleground Z an official Nintendo-made Streepass game? The title makes it sound like an open-world zombie survival game that a thirteen-year-old would put on Steam Greenlight, haha.

Haha, yeah, it's very tongue in cheek, though. Made by Good-Feel.

@Guillaume

Do you have any advice for finding rare zombies? I've found like one.

@Jargon

Check out their descriptions in that Z-manual or whatever it's called. They give clues for where you'll find them, and what power you need to bring.

@Guillaume

Aha, thanks. That will help.

@Jargon

Definitely. What I do is I check out what weapons I got from streetpass, then back out to the manual to see which one I can tackle.

Some of them are not obvious even with the place and weapon known. Not sure what other special conditions there might be. Like, I've had no luck with the ray gun or the boombox.

What do you all like better? Battleground Z or the fishing one? I'm gonna say the latter. I love getting the different combos of bait.

@DrFinkelstein

Yea, I prefer the fishing one. It's meatier, looks nicer, is more relaxing and it doesn't have dreaded escort missions, haha. But I like them both.

I'm sort of undecided on Angler and Battleground. They're decent, but I feel like the Streetpass game shtick is getting a bit old now. It needs some fresh wrinkles.

At long fucking last I have fought 300 battles in Warrior's Way and got the last coupon. To the vault with you! Never to return!

If I'd done it before the release of the new games though I would have gotten a ticket for earning all the possible tickets. I guess because of the new games I won't get it until I finish getting tickets in those. Hopefully it doesn't take into account the possibility of VIP tickets... Oh well, I have all the hats anyway and am not interested in a lot of the speech bubbles.

Just pay for VIP status and leave the ticket-grubbing behind!

* filled with shame because he has not completed the 300 Warrior challenge yet...

@Anand

Why would you be ashamed? It's just busy work.

That said, I'm like 15 streetpasses away from completing that. But I've also got the "greet peaceably" one to finish and there's no indication how far away from that goal I am. *sigh*

Making good progress in the fishing game. Those E3 spotpasses were an easy way to get special passes.

STILL haven't completed Arcade mode in Mii Force. But now that I've realized you can rehire Miis with gold pants and get up to three of that bonus "option" thing around your ship, it's just a matter of time.

@Guillaume

Completing Arcade Mode is kind of a test of patience. Since they gradually release all your StreetPass partners over the course of the game (rather than give them all to you in Stage 1) it kind of forces you to hold back and play with more tact. Which annoyed me a bit, since I'd rather just go in guns-blazing. I mean, I've got freakin' 10 StreetPass tags, LET ME USE THEM.

Getting that on the "done pile" took me the longest out of all the "Ticket Challenges."

@Guillaume
I was just kidding, but I actually AM ashamed that I'm still actually trying to complete that "challenge". Nothing against anyone who genuinely enjoys playing these games to total completion, but my utils per minute in the old Streetpass games are seriously dwindling, yet I'm still plugging away. It goes against everything I believe in. But I still can't help myself!

Just beat Ultimate Angler and unlocked the last showdown in Battleground Z with the same batch of Streetpasses. There's still some Plaza Tickets hidden in Battleground Z stages I haven't found yet. I'll try to beat all the Rare Zombies and find those, but I'm not going to try to get all the medals. The escort missions are too annoying for that.

As for Ultimate Angler, I still have the permit Islands to clear and I may try to do all the challenges, even the ones that don't give Plaza Tickets. We'll see if I feel the same way once I beat everything.

I've got a lot of Plaza Tickets saved up, but there's not that many speech bubbles I really want. The question is whether I should buy them all anyway (or whether that's even possible). I guess I'll find out once I've gotten all the remaining tickets.

Anyone else see the true ending to Ultimate Angler? Things definitely took an unexpected turn, but I liked it.

I'm pretty sure that you're the only person who will ever see the true ending to Ultimate Angler. Well, maybe Gui...

Knowing there's a twist kind of intrigues me, though.

Not really all that close to the end of Ultimate Angler, but I'll get there eventually for sure.

I've put aside my 3DS for now, though. Not getting many streetpasses during the summer, anyway.

Come back to Montreal, college kids!
