Register Fire Emblem: Awakening + Shin Megami Tensei IV by August 31st, receive $30 in eShop credit

This is a great deal for anyone who has yet to own the fantastic Fire Emblem: Awakening and is looking for more 3DS RPG goodness down the road. Nintendo's really pushing these savings lately. Shin Megami Tensei IV won't be going live until July 16th and contrary to the pic above, there doesn't seem to be any further details provided when checking the game pages.

EDIT: It seems this may be a deal that applies to simply registering the games and not necessarily purchasing them from the eShop. If the screenshot is anything to go by (wouldn't be the first time Nintendo screwed up!), then the Club Nintendo logo and physical boxes could indicate that anyone who owns both, physical or digital, will receive the 30$ credit. Also worth noting is that Atlus stressed that we register the game and teased an announcement for this week. If this is indeed what it was hinting at, then we're all in for a nice treat regardless of which version we purchased.

Seems Nintendo has put up the details for this deal.

We think you will love both Shin Megami Tensei IV and Fire Emblem Awakening for the Nintendo 3DS™ system. For a limited time only, you can get a $30 Nintendo eShop credit when you buy and register both games and complete the registration surveys by August 31, 2013. Your $30 credit can be used to buy any content available from the Nintendo eShop.

Why not sign up for a (free) account?

By the way, I wrote impressions from E3. I hope this helps some of you figure out what the game is about. It's really not as intimidating as the title would suggest. It's just a good RPG.

I don't know if I can buy a game where they didn't even bother to translate the title...

Hm, so essentially the question for me is whether or not I want to buy SMT4 for $10. And I didn't care for Fire Emblem.

Sweet, I already have Fire Emblem (only paid like $25 for it too), so I guess I'll definitely pick up SMT4, since it'll effectively be $20.

Now I just need to remember to actually open Fire Emblem and register it.

Wooo! Just in case anyone else was in the same boat as me (buying Fire Emblem off eShop, but forgetting to do the registration survey):

Thanks for contacting us. I can confirm that you will qualify for the Shin Megami Tensei IV and Fire Emblem Awakening Promotion as long as both games are registered to your Club Nintendo account before August 31, 2013. While we're unable to reinstate an expired survey (which earns you Coins), this will not prevent you from being eligible for the $30 Nintendo eShop credit.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns regarding this promotion.

Sincerely,

Nintendo of America Inc.
Arabella B.

Sounds cool. Now I can get the digital version of Soul Hackers since it dropped to $30.
