I'll be excited if this applies to people who already own the eShop version of Fire Emblem.... I highly doubt it will though ;p

Hmm...may just do. Can you transfer saves from cart to digital yet? I've been meaning to go back and just get the digital titles for games I own physically (and may actually play again).

Hmm, looks like I'll be buying Fire Emblem after all! Buying two meaty games at the same time seems like a bad idea, however. I'll get FE but I probably won't play it for month. I'm sure this promotion is retroactive.

@kgtennisproI wonder the same thing. I'm looking forward to the physical version of Shin Megami Tensei IV since it has all those bonus goodies that come with it. But I may return the game and get the digital version if it means I can get $30 back. On the other hand... it may not apply to me anyway, since my digital copy of Fire Emblem Awakening came pre-loaded on my LE 3DS system. Guess I'll have to do some research to see if I'm eligible.

That's a really cool promo. Maybe I should look into SMT...

@nate38I'm currently playing SMTIV and it's pretty fun. You've played any other Atlus RPGs?

Wait, is this from digital purchase or just registering the games? Considering the Club Nintendo logo is on the page and it shows pictures of physical boxes too, then maybe anyone that registers both games gets this?

@VofEscaflowneAtlus has been teasing on social media that people should register SMT4 on Club Nintendo because of reasons. That points to physical copies being included in the promotion. They wouldn't need to tell you to register a digital copy since that's automatic for eShop purchases.

@Guillaume I loved Radiant Historia, but that's a very different thing. I haven't played any of their hardcore old-schooly ones (which I think is SMT's style). I enjoyed the Etrian Odyssey IV demo more than I expected, but I'm not sure about it as a 30+ hour commitment.

@nate38Hmm. Well SMTIV is pretty tough while being forgiving at the same time. First, the second time you die, you can switch to Easy difficulty, which I haven't done yet but probably will. Second, when you die, you can have Charon (the lord of death or whatever) revive you for a fee, using either the in-game currency or Play Coins (which is awesome). The tutorials are intrusive at first, but they do tell you everything you need to know to get going. And while there are a lot of different ways to customize your character or your party of demons (which has some "Pokémon" to it, though you're not tasked with catching them all), the info is always right there on the screen. I'm only four hours in, though, and I can tell I'm gonna be marathoning this one. But yeah, it's not as intimidating as I thought it would be, it looks great, and it's fun.

The offer is for retail and digital downloads. Since I already have Fire Emblem, it would essentially cost me 20 bucks to get SMT4 (since it's 50 bucks, right?). Well, not really, but I could then get Mario Golf or Mario & Luigi for ten bucks, essentially. Not bad, Nintendo, not bad at all. Now I just have to decide if I even want to play an SMT game. To be honest, the character art doesn't do anything for me. If the story and gameplay is good, though...

I bought Fire Emblem off the eShop, so I completely forgot to do the stupid registration survey before it expired...hopefully that doesn't wind up making me miss out on the deal....though I have a bad feeling it will ;p

@Guillaume I thought it didn't release until mid-July? Or did you get a NWR hook-up?! But in that case why are you talking about buying two games? CONFUSED.

@kgtennisproYou can always call Nintendo. (1-800-448-6797.) They make it a policy not to reactivate surveys, but they might do it once in this case. They did for me after I explained it was the first time buying a full retail game on the eShop and was not aware of the 1 week time limit to complete the registration survey. (Less than 15 minutes ago. I didn't even have to sign an NDA. He didn't give me all the surveys back that I forgot to do for the Ambassador' Program, but that's fair.) Seriously, they should remind you when you download each game. It'd be more reasonable than telling me how to use bombs every single time I open a chest with bombs in every Zelda game ever.

@legendofalexThanks, I might just give that # a call if it turns out the survey is keeping me from getting the promotion. Fire Emblem does show up on my registered products list, so I'm really hoping that's all the site will look for.

@kgtennisproThe offer states the survey needs to be taken. I was literally only on the phone for 4 and a half minutes. Granted, I did have a reference number where I had emailed them about it back in March. Sad thing is, I'm still not sure I'll get SMT IV as it wasn't even on my radar prior to the offer. I've got a newborn and way too large of a backlog.

How would it not apply to somebody that already has Fire Emblem. I mean...you're halfway there already!
